As a human being and as an artist, I need to break the daily routine from time to time. I have several ways to do this and I can even say I have my routines to escape the routines! However, when I really need to relax and find my inner space, the most common destination is this: a river in the countryside near the town where I was born. It is a special place, not only because of my childhood memories, but also because it conveys a unique energy that soothes my soul. As much as it may seem a simple thing, when I take off my shoes and walk into the water I get a sense of harmony and balance with nature that inspires me for life. The stacks of balancing zen stones that you see in this countryside river are the result of that state of mind. A state of mind that I hope to convey to you if you should decide to buy one of these art prints for your home or office.

I've seen these types stones in central Texas along a walking trail in the Hill country where I did a shoot some time ago. I discovered they're called cairns or prayer rocks and love them.
