Description
The legend says that thousands of years ago, when the Earth was still covered in ice, a mother bear and her young lived in this beach. Then, the ice started melting and the Gods told all the animals to leave the sea shore. The stubborn bear refused to do so, because she was born there and she would stay. The angry Gods transformed the bear into rock and her young into smaller rocks dispersed around the mother... and there they stood, giving the name to this beach: Praia da Ursa (Bears Beach).
I love legends!... And when a legend has such a photographic potential as this one has, well, it's a call to adventure! So, on a certain afternoon, I finally decided to go check it out... It was just a scouting trip, but I didn't return empty handed!

Wonderful capture; great light, lines and composition; the formations remind me of the rock formations at Pyramid Lake, in Nevada. Interesting, vf
