This image belongs to a second series of pictures I took at the Alfusqueiro river (The Mystic River Series - you can find this first series in the Galleries tab). Houwever, truth be told, this second series was the first to be shot! Things just turned out this way! It happens!
This is a place I know for many years now, since my childhood days. It has its own legend (see below), but, as you might notice, everytime I visit this place, I always let my spirit run free. It's a mystical and inspirational place, so I always end up creating something soothing for the soul!
That peaceful state of mind is what I want to share with you if you should decide to buy one of these art prints for your home or office.
And now, the legend:
The legend says that, a long time ago, a very rich man lived here. He owned properties on both banks of the Alfusqueiro River, but never bothered to build a bridge. He was a miser. One day, a stranger dressed in black appeared to him...
About Marco Oliveira
I was born in 1976, in Portugal. Grew up in a small town in the countryside and later, at the age of 18, moved on to the big city. It was a difficult transition at the beginning, but in time I learned to love and enjoy the beauty of both. But, truth be told, I still favor nature over concrete! Thankfully, in either case, the marine coast has always been a short drive away! I'm not saying I like the beach - because I don't! - but I love the seascapes! I'm happily married and father of one gorgeous boy! I fell in love with TV and movies very early on in my life.
