I was waiting for the opportunity (i.e. a rainy day) to create this piece. From my kitchen window I have a view to a vacant lot behind my house. It's a nice view, since it is mostly green grass and trees. Late afternoon, as the sun goes down, it is even nicer! However, it is not particularly interesting as a simple photograph... So, one afternoon, as I prepared dinner and condensation kept steaming up my windows, I noticed how shapes and colors from the outside were creating a beautiful impressionist painting effect in the glass. Steam, however, wasn't good enough for me. I wanted to emphasize that effect and I was pretty sure I could achieve that on a rainy day. A couple months later, finally, the rain poured down on my window.

I was born in 1976, in Portugal. Grew up in a small town in the countryside and later, at the age of 18, moved on to the big city.
